New online sportsbooks are being launched in the UK all the time, and this has been the case for years now. It’s fair to say that most of these fail to make an impact, but this has certainly not been the case with the titular target of our BetUK review.
In our BetUK review, we’re going to investigate exactly why this brand and betting site has made such a splash. En route, we’ll evaluate its offers, special features, betting markets, and plenty more besides. Ultimately, we’ll help you decide whether the BetUK sports betting site is worth your time and money.
Just so you're absolutely crystal clear about the process, we're here to lend newbies punters a hand. Just follow these five steps and you'll claim any welcome bonus on offer no problem...
In relation to the fast-moving British betting market, BetUK actually already has a fairly impressive track record. It was first launched back in 2012, meaning that – at the time of writing – it’s been running for over a decade now.
For most of that time, it’s been easier to find a BetUK casino review than a BetUK sportsbook review. Casino games and slots were the undoubted priority, but – after being acquired by the powerful LeoVegas Gaming Group – this all changed.
In August 2018, the new operating company launched the BetUK sportsbook, as a new focus over and above the casino section. The Malta-based brand has gone from strength to strength ever since. Along with a growing customer base, it has also gained licenses in multiple jurisdictions.
As you’re considering signing up to BetUK in the UK, one of your first concerns will be the brand’s legitimacy. That’s only natural, of course, with both your money and personal data on the line. In this case we’re pleased to say you don’t need to worry, with BetUK being a perfectly legitimate bookie.
For starters, BetUK holds betting licenses with both the UK Gambling Commission, and the Revenue Commissioners in Ireland. This ensures it has been thoroughly vetted for both security and fairness, which should automatically give you peace of mind when using BetUK in the UK.
Elsewhere in our research for this BetUK review, we found that the brand had all the necessary security features you’d expect. SSL encryption is one example, which protects the transmission of sensitive data, and powerful firewalls are in place. Famously secure payment methods are also used, as we’ll discover later in this BetUK review.
As with every sportsbook worth its salt, there is indeed a BetUK sign up offer in place. We’re pleased to say that it also happens to be very good.
The BetUK welcome offer is a classic ‘Bet and Get’ deal, also known as a ‘Bet X, Get Y’ promotion. In this case, you’ll need to place a qualifying wager of at least £10. Do so and you’ll trigger the BetUK sign up offer, receiving a generous £30 in free bets in return.
Naturally, the BetUK welcome offer comes with some terms and conditions attached. None of these, however, detract from the overall appeal of the deal. Once the qualifying bet settles 3x £10 free bets will be awarded. The breakdown will be as follows: 1 x £10 Horse Racing Free Bet (singles + Upwards)(min odds 4/5 or 1.8) 1 x £10 Free Bet Builder (min odds 3/1 or 4.0) (Minimum of 3 selections) 1 x £10 Football Free Bet (min odds 4/5 or 1.8).
We’ll investigate the available ongoing promotions in the next section of this BetUK.com review. For now, here’s a quick summary of both the BetUK welcome offer and a couple of the other most eye-catching BetUK bonus deals.

We’ve kicked off this BetUK review in style, by focusing on two of the key areas for any prospective customers of BetUK in the UK – the brand’s legitimacy, and its welcome offer. Now though, it’s time to get into the meat of our BetUK.com review, and run through a slew of other key areas.
If you’re looking for a long-term sports betting platform, user-friendliness should be a key consideration. We’re pleased to say we found this one of the most impressive areas of all in our BetUK sportsbook review.
From the very first time you use BetUK in the UK, you’ll be able to navigate this platform easily. The interface might not look thrilling, but it’s designed in a highly straightforward and intuitive manner.
Not only that, but we found the performance levels to be consistently high during our testing for this BetUK sportsbook review. Every page loaded swiftly, and we experienced no crashes whatsoever.
Live betting tools have quickly gone from luxuries on modern-day sportsbooks to ‘must-haves’. The BetUK sports betting platform not only features theses tools, but has implemented them at an extremely high level.
In-play betting markets here are given their own entire section, which is extremely well-populated. We found the selection of bet types to be impressive during our research fo this BetUK review, particularly for bigger markets like football, and the actual placement of live wagers is extremely swift.
Naturally, you can also cash out eligible BetUK sports wagers. Seeing which bets are indeed eligible is easy, the prices you’re offered are generally fair, and the cash out itself also tends to be processed swiftly.
BetUK might not be as famous as the biggest brands around. It still manages to pack in a series of great special features though, with live streaming leading the way. Horse races from around the world are available to watch live, and – with Premiership rugby also recently-added – we’d expect the range of viewing options to increase in the near future.
We also found a nice range of other features for our BetUK review. A bet builder is in place, for example, which lets you craft same-game multiples with ease. There’s also a ‘Pre-packs’ feature, which saves you the trouble by creating tasty same-game multiples for you. Elsewhere, there are live statistics, plenty of specials markets, and a blog which provides regular betting tips.
We’ll address betting odds in more detail in the next section of our BetUK review. For now, simply know that – as in a few other areas – BetUK does well here without truly excelling. In short, the prices are certainly competitive while rarely being the best around.
This is another area we’ll dive into properly later on in our BetUK review. To summarise, however, BetUK does indeed tick all the main boxes when it comes to supporting its users. There are both direct and indirect ways to get in touch, while the excellent FAQ section will solve many of your issues instantly.
We’ve already looked at the BetUK welcome offer, which is highly-appealing. Long after you’ve used this BetUK offer, however, you’ll find a couple of other betting promotions waiting for you. It’s worth noting that none of these require a BetUK promo code to activate.
The first is a classic free bet club, here called the ‘BetUK Acca Club’. Place £20 on accas with 5+ selections in a given week, and you’ll receive a £5 BetUK free bet in return. Naturally, this BetUK offer can be triggered repeatedly to keep getting BetUK free bet tokens. Alternatively, you can use the horse racing Free Bet Club. This is still useful, but is smaller in scale, giving out a £3 BetUK bonus when you wager £15 or more.
Finally, BetUK also offers Profit Boosts. Users get five of these, and can use them on accumulators to gain a BetUK bonus of up to a mighty £1,000.
Inexperienced punters frequently make the mistake of not paying attention to the actual quality of the odds a bookie provides. Instead, they simply accept what they’re given. As a top tip in this BetUK review, we’d urge you not to make this mistake. After all, if the prices you’re using are unfairly low, there will always be a cap on your long-term winnings.
Fortunately, we didn’t find that to be an issue during our analysis for this BetUK review. The prices tend to be more-or-less in line with the competition, including much larger sportsbooks.
If we take the popular Premier League Outright Winner market, for example, we’ll see that BetUK currently has Man City as favourites at 4/11. At the time of writing, these odds are exactly the same on Betfred and 888sport. BetUK’s price for Liverpool (7/1) is superior to 888sport’s (6/1), as is its price for Spurs.
We also found the live prices to be entirely fair during our BetUK review, offering a genuine reflection of the latest goings-on. Elsewhere, users can not only use the aforementioned Profit Boosts to increase their winnings, but also take advantage of daily BetUK Specials, in which the odds on selected markets are boosted.
Here we reach one of the highlights of our BetUK review, and – in fairness – we’d be surprised if it wasn’t the case in all BetUK reviews.
The range of betting markets on BetUK is absolutely outstanding. There are approximately 30 different subsections here, catering to the tastes of a huge cross-section of bettors. Added together, this gives you tens of thousands of individual betting opportunities, meaning – quite simply – you’re unlikely to get bored here in a hurry.
As the UK’s most popular online betting market by far, it’s no surprise to see that football is the clear priority on BetUK.
At the time of writing, the football section had a staggering 72,000+ individual wagers to choose between. These are split neatly into pre-match, live, and outright bet types, with your options in each case being extensive to say the least. Football also sees the most BetUK specials markets, and you can use the handy Bet Builder to make same-game multiples.
Horse racing is obviously another huge market in the UK, and BetUK also impresses here. The section isn’t quite as enormous as that for football, but with hundreds of betting opportunities available, you still can’t really complain.
It’s not only racecourses in the UK and Ireland which are in place here, but those in South Africa, the USA, and Australia too. An excellent selection of these races can be enjoyed live via high quality streaming, and many races are also covered by ‘Each Way Plus’, giving you extra places on your each way wagers.
We could hardly have been more impressed with the selection of betting markets found during our BetUK review. In addition to the aforementioned dominant duo, there are over two dozen other sports to bet on.
Naturally, old classics like tennis, cricket, golf and rugby are all covered. You can also enjoy motorsports and UFC betting, and the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL are all available for fans of North American sports. The eSports section also deserves special mention, with over 400 wagers to choose between at the time of writing.
Promo codes used to be a popular way for betting sites to deliver their special offers. Previously, you’d often need to enter a specific string of letters and numbers to activate a particular promotion.
Nowadays these have largely fallen by the wayside, and this applies to BetUK too. At the time of writing, there were no promo codes whatsoever available, either for a BetUK no deposit deal or any other promotion. Instead, all of the current deals are triggered by placing qualifying wagers.
As most BetUK reviews will surely tell you, this is an extremely straightforward sportsbook to use. This user-friendliness applies to the signup process too, with these being the few steps you must take to get started.
Your first step is to head to the BetUK home page, and click ‘Join’ towards the right-hand side. After that, simply complete each of the screens in turn, alternately providing your personal information and setting your BetUK login details. Once that’s done, just agree to the general T&Cs and finish creating your account.
Before you can get any bets down, you obviously need some money in your account. Use your BetUK login details to access your new account, then head to the cashier area. Pick one of the available payment methods, provide the requisite details, enter your deposit amount, and confirm the transaction.
With some money in your account, it’s high time to place some wagers. Head to the main sportsbook section, then use the menus along the top of the screen to find the sport you’re interested in. Locate your preferred competition and matchup, then click the odds next to a bet type to add that selection to your betslip. Now simply set a stake, and confirm the wager.
After placing a few wagers, you’ll hopefully have some money in your account. Before withdrawing it, you must complete the BetUK verification process, which is a key anti-fraud measure. To do so, head to My Profile, then Account, then Account Status, and provide clear images of two pieces of ID using the document uploader tool.
It shouldn’t take long for your identity to be verified on BetUK. Once that’s done, you can head back to the Cashier area and request a payout using one of the options there. The BetUK withdrawal time will depend on what method you choose.
Nowadays, punters don’t want to be limited to using their desktop computers to bet. Instead, they want the freedom afforded by mobile betting apps, to place wagers on their mobile devices wherever and whenever they please. The BetUK app makes this not only possible, but a pleasure to do. In fact, it represents another of the high points of our BetUK review.
The BetUK app is available for both iOS and Android devices, directly from the App Store and Google Play respectively. At a basic level, it ports out over almost all the most important features of the desktop platform, including the same markets and account management features. You also get access to all the same promotions, including the Daily Price Boosts.
The skill with which this platform has been adapted to smaller screen sizes shouldn’t be understated, however. The BetUK app is genuinely a pleasure to operate, making skilful use of scrolling and collapsible menus. It was also completely stable during our testing for this BetUK review, and loaded with impeccable speed.
We already gave you an overview of the BetUK sign up offer earlier in our BetUK review. Now though, it’s time to investigate how you actually go about claiming it. As you can probably guess by now, it’s actually very straightforward, with these being the few steps you must take:
In general, the terms and conditions are fair here. Getting seven days to place your qualifying wager, then another to use your free bets, is generous. The minimum odds are also nice and low, although the requirement to use your free bets on accumulators is a little annoying. Overall though, this is a strong welcome offer.
While this BetUK review has generally steered positive, here we encounter another of the brand’s undoubted weak points.
Quite simply, punters aren’t given many choices here, with only three real options: Visa/Mastercard, bank transfer, and PayPal. Admittedly these are three of the most popular payment methods of all, and the vast majority of punters will have access to at least one. Still, it doesn’t exactly give you much flexibility in funding your account, and is one area in which BetUK trails behind the competition.
It’s not all bad news, however. No transaction fees are charged, regardless of which payment method you use, and – while withdrawals can take up to five days – they’ll usually be processed more quickly. Best of all, BetUK technically doesn’t have a minimum withdrawal limit in place; if you want to withdraw less than £10, however, you’ll need to request the payout directly from customer service.
Banking Method | Fees | Min. Deposit | Min. Withdrawal | BetUK Withdrawal Time |
Visa/Mastercard | 0% | £10 | £10* | Up to 5 days |
Bank Transfer | 0% | £10 | £10* | Up to 5 days |
PayPal | 0% | £10 | £10* | Up to 5 days |
Use any sportsbook for long enough, and you’ll eventually encounter an issue. That’s completely normal, but obviously – as a bettor – you want that problem solved as quickly and efficiently as possible.
We found this bookie to do a reasonable job of ensuring this, during our BetUK review. While there’s no BetUK customer service number, you can still contact the team directly via live chat. Alternatively, if your enquiry is less urgent, you can use email instead. Elsewhere, while BetUK does have social media channels, it doesn’t seem to use these for customer support.
Finally, the BetUK FAQ section is definitely worth mentioning. Called the ‘Help Centre’, it is neatly split into nine major sections, each of which contains useful, informative, and well-written articles.
We like to think we’ve presented a pretty balanced view so far in our BetUK review. Every brand has its strong and weak points, after all, and BetUK is no different. Below, we’ve summarised all the main advantages and disadvantages for you.
As noted earlier, BetUK actually began life as an online casino. And, while the sportsbook is undoubtedly the focus nowadays, the casino section is still going strong.
You can access the BetUK casino section via the main menu to the left-hand side. The links there can take you directly to any of the main subsections, including those for slots, live casino games, jackpots, and traditional table games. The slots selection is particularly impressive, featuring legendary titles like Book of Dead, Starburst, and Fishin’ Frenzy.
Elsewhere, the BetUK casino also has its own promotions. These include a deposit match welcome offer worth up to £100 plus 10 free spins, and other deals which dish out free casino chips.
It takes a lot for a brand to stand out in the crowded modern-day British sportsbook scene. While this particular bookie can’t quite topple the biggest names in the industry, what we found in this BetUK review definitely impressed us.
The range of betting markets is enormous, and is housed within an extremely user-friendly interface. The mobile app is excellent, and both the welcome offer and ongoing promotions are solid, although we’d prefer to see more of the latter provided. The customer service team is also easy to access, and provides strong support.
It’s not all positive, of course, with the lack of payment methods being a particular sticking point. That said, we enjoyed our time with BetUK a lot overall, and can highly recommend claiming the Bet £10, Get £30 welcome offer, and checking out the sportsbook for yourself.
