What is DAZN Bet UK?

DAZN is one of the leading live streaming services for sport in the world, holding top-tier domestic football rights in Spain, Italy, Germany and Japan. However, in the UK it’s arguably boxing for which they are best known, thanks to a partnership with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing stable, which includes Anthony Joshua and Katie Taylor.

DAZN Bet was launched in August 2022, with the intention of creating a product that fully integrates betting into live sports streaming. The pedigree is certainly there, as former BoyleSports CEO Mark Kemp will head up DAZN Bet UK and they have also partnered with renowned betting software provider Pragmatic Play.

Given the increasing popularity of live betting and live streaming, launching a betting service which can offer almost unrivalled live sports coverage is an intriguing prospect and something that is genuinely new. However, the question is whether their betting offering and the DAZN Bet casino will be able to match their live streaming excellence!

And we’re pleased to report that you can bet with confidence at the site.

DAZN Bet UK trades under a UK Gambling Commission licence held by a company called One Click Limited, which is an established and trusted name in the betting and gaming industry. And of course, the UKGC is the gold standard of betting regulation. The Dazn Bet sports betting site also features an extensive privacy policy outlining how they use and protect personal information. Furthermore, as is customary with all sites regulated by the UK Gambling Commission, DAZN Bet uses advanced encryption techniques and firewalls to protect sensitive information such as bank details.

Responsible Gaming

There’s also a “Safer Gaming” section available at the DAZN Bet sports betting site, which is one of the most extensive we have seen. Not only can you set daily, weekly and monthly deposit limits to keep your spending in check, but wagering limits and even loss limits too. You can also initiate a “Time Out” period of between one and 30 days, or even shut down your account for longer periods.

DAZN Bet also provides details for a variety of professional services designed to help punters regulate their gambling and deal with any issues, such as Gamcare and GambleAware, as well as software that can block betting sites altogether, such as Netnanny. We were also pleased to see a link to a self-assessment survey run by GamCare, with the aim of helping people better understand their relationship with gambling and identify any problem habits.

Now it’s time for the main part of our DAZN Bet review, where we take you through all of the key elements of this new betting offering, to see if they are a worthy addition to the British betting scene!

What Sports Can I Bet On With DAZN Bet?

A trap that many brand new betting sites fall into is launching with a substandard selection of sports to bet on, which can often give a site a half-finished feel to it. Thankfully, that isn’t the case here, as at the time of writing we found 25 different sports to wager on at DAZN Bet.

It’s no surprise that football dominates, given the popularity in the UK of the Premier League and other worldwide competitions. However, it was pleasing to see plenty of other popular sports featured such as boxing, cricket, golf, rugby and the NFL and NBA in America. However, at the time of writing, we were surprised to find that there was no horse racing betting available at DAZN Bet, given that the Sport of Kings is second only to football in the UK in terms of punter popularity and betting revenue generated.

Furthermore, the complete absence of Esports betting opportunities is also a negative, given its growing popularity in the UK.

Site Design & Usability

One thing DAZN Bet certainly gets right is its site design and usability. The colour scheme is simple, with a black background complemented by white writing and a splash of yellow here and there! Finding the sport you wish to bet on is easy as there’s a list on the left-hand side of the home page, with featured markets and live betting opportunities in the centre. You can set favourites, which makes finding your preferred sports even easier and there’s also a handy calendar to see what sporting events are coming up.

DAZN Bet Site Features

DAZN Bet offers a football Bet Builder, which allows you to combine different markets from the same match into one multiple bet. The features don’t end there though, as DAZN Bet also offers daily price boosts for specific events, such as “Lionel Messi to score first and Argentina to win”. There is also a huge range of statistics available across multiple sports at home and abroad, which could be very helpful when trying to pick out some winning wagers!

DAZN Bet Odds and Value

Odds are undoubtedly important as they dictate what the profit will be for any given winning bet. However, in our experience, many bettors are not hugely concerned with the prices they are receiving, for the simple reason that with so many events and markets on offer, no sportsbook could ever claim to offer the best prices across the board. Price comparison sites can be useful but not all sites feature them. However, we did want to get a general feel for the odds at DAZN Bet, so we compared a number of their prices across different events with other betting sites. We discovered that they are in the middle of the pack when it comes to betting odds, so we would say that when it comes to prices you can bet with confidence at DAZN Bet that you aren’t missing out on hugely improved prices elsewhere.

Bet Limits

The minimum bet stake at DAZN Bet is 10p and while the maximum bet limit will vary depending on the sporting market, it should suit both small stakes and higher-spending punters.

DAZN Bet Live Betting

In-play betting is the ability to place wagers on a live event after it has started. And it is proving to be hugely popular as you can use the up-to-date information from an event to make more informed bets. Live betting is available at DAZN Bet on a wide variety of sports including football, cricket, basketball and tennis. When it comes to football, in particular, most of the pre-match markets such as the game-winner, correct score and anytime goal scorer are also available in-play, along with specific live betting markets such as the next team to score or the next player to get booked. And all of this is complemented by play-by-play graphics keeping you up-to-date with the latest action.

Live Streaming

The ability to live stream sporting events through a sportsbook’s desktop site or mobile app can make live betting even more immersive. Given their streaming pedigree we’re expecting big things in the future from DAZN when it comes to showing live events on the site, but it’s early days, so at the time of writing there is no live streaming available at DAZN Bet.

Customer Service

The main way to get in touch with the DAZN Bet bookmaker is through their 24/7 live chat service. Like many sports betting sites, you will initially be met by a Chatbot, who may well be able to answer your question. However, you also have the option to send your AI pal packing and speak to a real person!

How to get started with the DAZN Bet Bookmaker

Now for the part of our DAZN Bet review where we take you step-by-step through the process of signing up, placing your first bet, qualifying for the DAZN Bet sign up offer and hopefully withdrawing some winnings!

Step 1: Visit DAZN Bet

Your first step is to visit the DAZN Bet bookmaker via their desktop or mobile betting site.

Step 2: Create an Account

Once you’ve reached the homepage you just need to click “Sign Up” at the top right-hand side of the page and then input your name, address, mobile number and date of birth. You will also need to create a username and set a password and we’d also recommend setting your monthly deposit limit at this point.

Step 3: Verify Your Identity

And when we went through this process our documents were confirmed within minutes.

Step 4: Deposit Funds

Once you’re logged in you just need to click on your account balance at the top right-hand side of the screen to bring up the deposit page. Then you can select your preferred payment method and the amount you wish to pay in, before pressing the “Deposit” button. And don’t forget that if you want to take advantage of the DAZN Bet welcome offer you will need to deposit at least £5.

Step 5: Place Your Opening Bet

In order to qualify for the DAZN Bet sign up offer, you will need to place a £5 bet at odds of at least 1/2 . You will be able to find the full list of sports on the left-hand side of the screen, or top right-hand side if you have set a particular sport as one of your favourites.

From there you just need to click on your chosen sport, followed by the specific league or competition, to bring up a list of matchups. Select your desired event to bring up all the markets and prices and from there, clicking a particular price will add it to a betslip on the right-hand side of the screen. Repeat the process if you wish to add more selections and whenever you’re ready, click on “Place Bet.”

Step 6: Use Your Free Bet

Within 24 hours of your opening wager being settled, if you click on “View My Account”, followed by “Bonuses”, you will see a shiny new free bet waiting to be used. And to take advantage of your DAZN Bet free bet, you just need to select a bet as usual, input the £5 stake and then click the button next to your free bets balance to make sure those funds are used and not your main wallet balance.

If your bet is a winner the profits will be added to your main account balance but don’t forget that it’s standard policy across all betting sites that the original free bet stake of any winning wagers is never returned to you.

Step 7: Withdraw Funds

If you have had a run of winning bets and wish to withdraw some or all of your main balance, just click on “Withdraw” on your account page and from there you can input the amount and the payment method you wish your cash to be returned to and click “Withdraw” once again.
